JJUARA RAKYAT : ADAKAH MENEPATI MATLAMAT ATAU SEKADAR........

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno will continue consolidating its "People First" slogan through its newly-styled Juara Rakyat programme, said Umno Information Chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan yesterday. He said the programme would carry a different theme every month, with the theme for this month being education and for next month, welfare. "Ceramah will be held during the programmes, which will no longer be confined to exhibitions and visits. "There will be a clear explanation (of issues) to the grassroots." Ahmad said the target was to hold one Juara Rakyat programme in each of the party's divisions, beginning this year. Umno has almost 200 divisions in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. Last year, the party organised 2,000 Juara Rakyat programmes nationwide.
