DPM VISIT SEVERAL AREA IN KL...


KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to visit several areas in the federal capital today in conjunction with his programme to meet city residents.

According to the itinerary issued by his office, Muhyiddin has a tight schedule where he will attend a 1Malaysia breakfast with representatives of non-governmental organisations in the Batu parliamentary constituency at Taman Bullion Mewah.

He will then go on a walkabout at Kampung Pindah and Kampung Baru. This will be followed by a meeting with the constituents at the Jalan Tun Razak Flats in Kampung Baru, at 10am.


The taxi drivers in the city here will also be included in the programme as Muhyiddin will meet them at 11.50am at the Matahari Restaurant, next to the Kampung Baru Petronas station.

At 12.30pm, Muhyiddin will rush to Pusat Islam to attend the "Simposium Manhaj Bandar" together with the chairmen of all the mosque and surau committees throughout the city.

He will later proceed to the Dang Wangi police headquarters to attend a meeting with police personnel at 2.10pm.


Muhyiddin will go on a walkabout around Jalan Masjid India to meet with Malay and Indian traders, hawkers and shopkeepers as well as Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress members.

Muhyiddin will later proceed to the open space beside the Lembah Pantai Community Centre to meet residents in Lembah Pantai at 4pm.

The programme will end with Muhyiddin opening the 14th Malaysia Games at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras, at 8.30pm. -- Bernama
