MCA gearing up for Merlimau by-election Malaysia Sun Wednesday 2nd February, 2011  (Source: The Star) MALACCA: The MCA will set up a special committee to woo Chinese support for the Barisan Nasional at the March 6 Merlimau by-election. The committee will be headed by Malacca MCA chairman Datuk Gan Tian Loo, who will be assisted by state secretary Datuk Koh Nai Kuang and Jasin division chief Koh Chin Han. Announcing this, party president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said the committee would work hard to get the support of the Chinese voters for the Barisan candidate, who has yet to be named. After going through six by-elections as MCA president, Dr Chua said he did not want to make any predictions about the upcoming by-election.
