It will be a wet by-election



JOHOR BARU: The meteorological department forecasts that it will be a wet by-election for Tenang starting with nomination day on Jan 22.

A department spokesman said the general weather outlook showed that thunderstorms would be a common occurrence in the afternoons.

He added that the pattern would continue until polling day on Jan 30.

“This is just a general prediction and we will be able to give more details between Jan 15 and Jan 17,” he said.

The spokesman that thunderstorms were expected to occur in the afternoons and would continue until late evening.

“We also predict fair or cloudy conditions in the early part of the day,” he said.

The spokesman added that the department would be updating its website regularly.

“We advise voters who would like to check on weather conditions, to log onto our website www.met.gov.my for details,” he said.

The Tenang seat fell vacant following the death of Barisan Nasional state assemblyman Datuk Sulaiman Taha on Dec 17.
